Make up your own myth or legend in regards to why certain natural events occur.
For example we have different seasons because a beautiful maiden died (winter) and her boyfriend was so sad he prayed to the gods to bring her back to life (spring) he was able to have a few months with her and everything was perfect (summer) but slowly she started to get sick (Fall) and then she died again. (winter). Because the boyfriend tried to change the rules of life he was cursed with only having her for a little while and then she'd die all over again but a few months later came back to life. That's why we have different seasons.
