Get Your Story Going

What kind of stories are you interested in? Me, I love all kinds of stories.  I love fantasy, non-fiction,  supernatural, "true life" and even some horror.  As a writer, I never try to try to figure out what kind of story is going to be popular.  Some people like sci-fi while others like horror.  My first story is more of a "true life" story, meaning that it's set in the "real world" and the story is based on true events.  Kids are kidnapped and many times those kids are rescued and return home.  I was watching the news and seeing lots of children turn up missing.  It was those stories of kidnapped and missing children that inspired me to write my first book.

My idea for my second book came to me after thinking up a "what if" scenario.  What if I was a teenager and discovered something really weird about myself?  What if I always felt "different" from other kids and the reason tat I felt that way was because I really was "different"?  From there my story evolved.

So now I want you to think about what happens to your protagonist.  From there you can take your character on his or her long journey to discover who they really are and help them fight for what he or she really wants.
