I just started reading Au Revoir Cray European Chick by Joe Schreiber. I thought I'd start catching up on some of my YA (Young Adult) fiction reading over Christmas break. I always browse the shelves for books and try to read the New York Times best-selling authors but you can find lots of great books by writers who aren't "best-selling" writers too. You should definitely read them too.
This book is about this high school senior named Perry whose family is hosting a foreign exchange student named Gobi. Gobi is a total freak and really weird. After Perry's father forces Perry to take Gobi to the prom lots of unexpected things happen and Perry ends up wondering if he'll literally be able to live through the night after all hell breaks loose and people start getting killed. I don't want to ruin the book by telling you what happens but if you like stories about cool "chicks" who can kick butt then it's worth checking out.
