Now let's see how you describe what you hear. The world around us sounds different depending on where
you are. If you are walking around a big city like New York for example, you'd hear different sounds
than from what you'd hear in a city like Los Angeles. I lived in LA for over 10 years and although it's a
city it sounds nothing like New York. In NYC you'd hear the rumble of the subway beneath your feet,
honking of horns, and the chattering of thousands conversations blending into an murmur of chatter.
In LA you'd hear the purring of cars stuck in traffic on the freeway, Reggaeton music blasting from one
car, while Hip Hop screams from another. In my home in West Orange, it's crickets! Loud buzzing
crickets, birds tweeting, children laughing or the swish of a car driving down the road.
Describe what your neighborhood sounds like. Find the sounds beneath the sounds. Sounds comes in
layers. Allow me to hear your environment. Why don't you just give it your best shot!
